Itinerary description

Wadi Ghalilah dam to Jebel Jais North Summit is a clear marked trail(we lost in between for quite some time and came back to trail at 3.5km), this is one of the trail which demand both physical and mental fitness..you have to claim constant elevation throughtout the hike for about 7 km. Real test for our endurance and will power. I got etisalat mobile coverage all the way. Lot of water(min 4 litres) and electrolyte is must. almost 80 % trail exposed to sun, hence make necessary precautions.

Hi satheesh, hope you are doing good

I have registered for Highlander 55 kms three days hike which is to be held on November the route is wadi ghalikah dam reach top of jebel jais and reach bottom in another end , have you registered for it.

I have done some trails such as jebel lower and upper trials
    Showka mountain trials
    Shiwka pool trials
    Khatt mountian

I m ready to do long distance hike but my only concern is stairways to heaven it is so dangerous and difficult, for how many kms this step or steep will be in our way. To do stairways of heaven do we require any special skills such as vertical climbing or do we require rope climbing skills, if I see in you tube it is very dangerous. Can you share your blog for more information about stairways to heaven

Stairways of heaven you took left or right side to reach the summit

    Hi Meer,

STH left bank trail is a dangerous. Whereas left bank is pretty safe and just need fo follow the path avaialabe. No ropes required. I Checked HL 55 trail Route is starts via STH right bank, hence there should not a issue.
