Mahipatgad- Sumargad and Rasalgad are three forts in Sahyadri range in Konkan region. The nearest place to access these forts is Bharna Naka (Near Khed, Dist Ratnagiri) on NH 17 (Mumbai-Goa) highway. The route is Bharna Naka-Kudavashi Phata-Vadi Jaitapur-Vadi Beldare. Vadi Beldare is a base village for Mahipat and Sumargad.
