I was born in March 1971 and UAE was created in December 1971.
To commemorate UAE's 50th National day in 2021, I have ventured into my own Hiking tribute to UAE where I have stayed for the last 28 years.
My project is W2W (Wadi to Wadi ) and this particular hike was the 1st segment.
We hiked this trail today 13th November 2021.

We connected Wadi Ghub Spectrum trail with Ain Alsheriya in Fujairah via our own explored narrow steep Wadi, which we named as Wadi Pat !!
Our summit for the trail was about 1000 meters high and we named it as PARIS summit taking the 1st letters of our names who hiked it today.
The terrain of the trail is full of boulders, loose loose rocks, steep ascent, steep descent and direct exposure to hot sun. It was a very challenging and testing hike, especially in Wadi Pat.
Please note that this is a one way trail, which means that you will need to make logistics arrangements OR have transport support.
The route between start and end points is mostly Offroading which means about 45 minutes of driving and you need AWD/4X4 vehicle.
The start point of this trail is the same as the popular Spectrum trail.
Best to park here, away from the village.

Our path goes via the same trail of Spectrum and then we went further till the fork that goes left and right.
The right section of the Wadi goes higher to the Ghub summit.
We took the left side and exited the Wadi and into the mountain surface / large boulders, some safe scrambling (no need of ropes ) and finally we reached the plateau.
There we made the 1000 meters point as our summit as PARIS summit.
From this summit, we turned left and continued without leaving the elevation for 2.8 Kms.
There you reach a point in the right where you can see Ain Sheriya mountain, the village and the wadi around it.
We have placed large Cairns marker, which is the point you need to descend to the Ai Sheria trail via steep slope, stable rocks, loose rocks, some smooth small waterfalls at 2 places but safe to navigate down. You can sit on the rocks and slide down. its safe.
this waterway will connect to the Ain Sheria trail in the middle and you walk towards right side on the well marked trail all the way till you descend.
Once down at the village, you exit the trail and walk all the way to Wadi Taween as recorded on this trail.
Once at the village you can plan your next action.

The family with goats in the beginning of the track shouted at us and said that we can't bring our dog along, and threatened to call the police. They were very rude for no reason as they were on the other side of the canyon and our dog was right next to us all the time. It killed the vibe, so we just turned home. Never coming here again.
Hi Masha,
I can understand your feelings.
But in the past, careless people have either entered private properties with dogs, left mess behind and also frightened the goats with leashless dogs.
I still suggest you hike this trail by yourselves to enjoy the special rock formations.
Thanks for the feedback!
