IMPORTANT NOTE: THE DIFFICULTY WITH WHICH I CATALOG MY ROUTES IS REFERRED TO MOUNTAINS USED TO WALK, WHO UNWIND WITH FACE ON ALL THE LANDS, NOT FOR OCCASIONAL HIKERS. IF YOU HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE, ADD ONE MORE DEGREE TO THE DIFFICULTY OF MY ROUTES SO YOU WILL NOT GET SURPRISES.
Nice circular drive to Lake Bohinj from the nice village of Ribčev Laz, where we were staying.
We start walking along the asphalt until we reach a curve where it comes out next to a fountain, a marked path that gains some height along the side of the mountain, moving away from the road. This path takes us to the Lower Station of the Funicular that goes up to the Vogel area. We went down the road to a campsite and then we turned left towards the quiet village of Ukanc, where we tried to walk along a forest track to get out onto the road that would take us to the Savica Waterfall, but we are unlucky because the track It is cut off by forest maintenance work, so we have to turn around and change our plans (leaving the visit to the beautiful waterfall for another day).
We return to the shore of the lake and continue along the path that surrounds it until, after a couple of good stops to eat and take a bath, we arrive back to our town, approaching to visit the Church of San Juan Bautista (very expendable, certainly). It should be noted that a large part of the road that goes through the northern sector around the lake, by which we returned, was (there was a sign that warned) in fair condition, with fallen trees, crossed roots and sometimes quite a lot of mud that, although not They impeded the passage (as advertised) if they made it somewhat uncomfortable. The worst was the mud. But the rest of the excursion has no difficulty.
