Itinerary description
This is one of Cyprus's most beautiful walks.
The descent from Vretsia is on a wide forest track, with magnificent far reaching mountain views and is around 5km before you reach the Zeros river and Roudias Bridge.
Cross over the bridge and follow the narrow track uphill. Shortly after passing an old watermill, take the right fork marked by a very small left/right arrow. This narrow track is the Nature trail and climbs steadily back uphill to Vretsia. The Nature trail meanders through the forest and features a number of signs showing plant names, which confirms you're on the correct trail!
If you take the more often used track uphill, to the left of the Nature trail, note that this is a lot steeper and offers little shade!
This route is best tackled on a cooler day due to the prolonged uphill climb, unless you are young and fit!
