Itinerary description
Vorsordi achq ( Որսորդի աչք լեռ ) is a mountain with the height of 1961 m in Tavush region, Armenia.
The name of the mountain is translated from Armenian as "the eye of the hunter".
This is one of the mountains near Gosh village, so if you want to visit charming Gosh lake ( Գոշի լիճ ) in winter and challenge yourself for a winter hike, this can be a lovely option.
Take into account that we did this trail in winter so maybe there will be better options for seasons without snow.
--- The trail is not blazed, you will see some marks of TCT trails here, as you cross Goshi lake trail on the way.
--- We haven't visited Gosh lake but it's literally a 5 mins hike from the part we turned to the village.
You cross the trail that leads you to Gosh village and so I've made a viewpoint on that part of the route, so you can make it two in one.
ATTENTION: I'd not recommend following one part of this trail that goes up, I'll mention this part in the pictures, I've put this fragment in a circle. When we went down we discovered a better way, so my suggestion is to hike up by the way we get down.
We hiked the mountain in winter and though it was totally covered with snow, it's way easier to follow vehicle traces wherever there were. The mid and the last part to the top is a challenging ascent as we haven't found any traces there.
SEASON: This is considered to be an аll - season mountain, as it's not very high and is doable in winter if you enjoy hiking in snowy mountains. From May till July it's very green, July, August, September can be too hot, from October till mid November warm fall colors make this area look like a fairytale scene. And from mid November till April it may be snowy depending on the season.
