Vom Vorderkaser im Pfossental zur Almwirtschaft Eishof (Vinschgau)

Bevor Mensch zum Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung gelangen kann, erwartet einen eine extrem kurvenreiche Strecke mit dem Auto. Schon diese Anfahrt bietet bemerkenswerte Aussichten.
Der Parkplatz gehört zum Gasthof Jägerrast und ist somit Privatgelände, was dazu führt, dass die Eigentümer vier Euro Parkgebühr abkassieren.

Im Sommer, und erst recht bei schönem Wetter, ist der Parkplatz schnell voll.

Der Wanderweg ist durchgängig ein nicht geteerter Landwirtschaftsweg, d.h. es ist eine typische Fahrspur mit Geröll und Split. Sehr angenehm ist das wandern auf dieser Oberfläche wahrlich nicht aber die Aussicht und die Natur entschädigen dafür mehr als ausreichend.
Der Weg ist meistens leicht ansteigend aber auch zum Teil sehr steil. Nach zwei Drittel des Weges besteht zum ersten Mal die Möglichkeit zur Einkehr. Es ist die Rableid-Alm, ein ehemaliger Bauernhof und Jausenstation (Bedeutung: kleine Mahlzeit) auf 2004 m Höhe. Von dort aus ist es nicht mehr allzu weit, vielleicht 20 Minuten, um zum Ziel Eishofer (2070 m) zu gelangen. Natürlich ist es möglich noch weiter Tal aufwärts bis ins Hochgebirge (Texelgruppe) hinein zu wandern (was konditionsstarke Wanderer auf jeden Fall einplanen sollten).


Before you can get to the starting point of the hike, an extremely winding route by car awaits you. Already this approach offers remarkable views.
The parking lot belongs to the Jägerrast inn and is therefore private property, which means that the owners charge a four euro parking fee.

In summer, and even more so when the weather is nice, the parking lot fills up quickly.

The hiking trail is continuously an unpaved agricultural road, i.e. it is a typical lane with boulders and grit. Walking on this surface is not very pleasant, but the view and the nature more than compensate for it.
The path is mostly slightly ascending but also partly very steep. After two thirds of the way there is for the first time the possibility to stop for a break. It is the Rableid-Alm, a former farm and snack station (meaning: small meal) at 2004 m altitude. From there it is not too far, maybe 20 minutes, to reach the destination Eishofer (2070 m). Of course, it is possible to hike even further up the valley into the high mountains, (Texelgruppe, which hikers in good shape should definitely plan for).


Prima di arrivare al punto di partenza dell'escursione, vi aspetta un percorso estremamente tortuoso in auto. Anche questo approccio offre viste notevoli.
Il parcheggio appartiene alla locanda Jägerrast ed è quindi proprietà privata, il che significa che i proprietari fanno pagare una tassa di parcheggio di quattro euro.

In estate, e soprattutto con il bel tempo, il parcheggio si riempie rapidamente.

Il sentiero è una strada agricola non asfaltata per tutto il percorso, cioè è una tipica corsia con ghiaia e graniglia. Camminare su questa superficie non è certamente molto piacevole, ma la vista e la natura compensano più che bene.
Il sentiero è per lo più in leggera salita, ma anche molto ripido in alcune parti. Dopo due terzi del percorso c'è la prima opportunità di fermarsi per una pausa. Si tratta della Rableid-Alm, un'ex fattoria e stazione di merenda (che significa: piccolo pasto) a 2004 m di altitudine. Da lì non è troppo lontano, forse 20 minuti, per raggiungere la destinazione Eishofer (2070 m). Naturalmente, è possibile risalire ulteriormente la valle fino alle alte montagne (Texelgruppe , cosa che gli escursionisti in buone condizioni fisiche dovrebbero assolutamente pianificare).
