Itinerary description

This is a small hike to Vishramgad or Patta fort.

About Drive: The base of the fort is motorable, and around 1.5 hours from Ghoti exit on Mumbai-Nashik highway. The ghat road has hairpin bends and quality of road is not very good. The drive is beautiful nonetheless.

About hike: From parking, an easy and well defined trail leads to the top of the fort. The fort has very few fort walls, some caves, and temples. Authorities have constructed shelters and viewpoints at several places. Top offers fantastic 360° view. Windmills, Aundha fort and other nearby mountains can be seen.

PS: The trail doesn't cover everything on the fort. The top has a huge plateau, several water tanks and highest viewpoint which are not covered in this trail.
