Itinerary description
Half day hike from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Porto Covo. Last day of the Rota for me. Porto Covo seemed like a better place to finish than Sao Torpes.
I stayed overnight in Vila Nova de Milfontes and grabbed a Rede Expressos bus from Porto Covo to Lisbon at the end.
Well marked and maintained trail. There is some dirt road at the very beginning, then sand most of the rest of the way. Although the trail is almost entirely flat, and the distance is not great, walking on sand makes it more challenging.
There is a grocery store and cafés in Vila Nova de Milfontes and Porto Covo.
I was glad I did the trail northbound, that way the sun is behind you, more or less, rather than in your face.
