Itinerary description
Beautiful trail with multiple landscapes. Trail difficult to follow. Intense incline and decline to finish off. Decline is all on loose stones. Be careful.

Did it today starting at the Viking’s camp site. Spectacular although I agree that one has to be very careful specially near the cliffs on the higher sections. I extended this track to climb the nearby summit and descended via another scree slope right to the viking village. I was afraid to release a boulder and hit the buildings but it’s a safe descent. Thanks for sharing this trail, one of my best hikes in Iceland 👍
