Le circuit commence devant l'église de Lellingen, et avant ou après la promenade, prenez le temps de visiter ce beau village d'Oesling.Classé village modèle par le Service des Sites et Monuments, Lellingen a su préserver son authenticité avec, au milieu du village, son église octogonale.

Le circuit se déroule principalement sur la colline entre les ruisseaux Lellgerbaach et Helbichbaach. Au printemps, des jonquilles sauvages poussent dans les forêts et sur les pentes du Pënzebierg ainsi qu’au lieu dit im Lohr, près du village. Cette plante, connue aussi sous le nom de Narcissus pseudonarcissus (ou Lorblumm en luxembourgeois), est une espèce protégée qui ne peut être trouvée qu’ici.

Le plus simple est de suivre le balisage d'itinéraire, une jonquille avec une flèche jaune qui vous indique la direction à suivre. La zone avec la fréquence la plus élevée de jonquilles est la partie inférieure de la colline où passe la première partie du chemin. Sur le chemin du retour, vous avez deux options, la première sur la crête de la colline, la seconde à travers le nord de la colline, dans les deux cas la diversité de la nature est extraordinaire.

Les fleurs de la Via Botanica peuvent être un peu imprévisibles et la floraison dépendra des températures actuelles. Les jonquilles sortent généralement début avril et peuvent durer jusqu'à la fin du mois. Si vous souhaitez éviter la foule, évitez les week-ends et venez en semaine. Visiter juste après le lever du soleil fournira non seulement une des meilleures lumières pour photographier les jonquilles, mais vous permettra également d'éviter les foules qui viennent habituellement ici pendant la journée et pour le coucher du soleil.

The circuit starts in front of the church in Lellingen, and before or after the walk, take some time to visit this beautiful village in Oesling. Acknowledged by the national monuments protection authority as an exemplary village, Lellingen has managed to preserve its authentic character up to the present day. In the village centre, the octagonal church stands out in particular.

The circuit takes place mostly on the hill between the Lellgerbaach and Helbichbaach streams. In the forests and the oak coppice Pënzebierg as well as in so-called Lohr near the village, the wild daffodils start sprouting with the first rays of spring sun. This plant, also known as Lent lily or Narcissus pseudonarcissus (or in Luxembourgish Lorblumm), which is a protected species, can only be found here.

The simplest is to follow the route marking, a daffodil with a yellow arrow that shows you the direction to follow. The area with the highest frequency of daffodils is the lower part of the hill where the first part of the path passes. On the way back you have two options, the first on the ridge of the hill, the second through the north of the hill, in both cases the diversity of nature is extraordinary.

The flowers of the Via Botanica can be a bit unpredictable and blooming will depend on current temperatures. The daffodils usually come out in early April and can last until the end of the month. If you wish to avoid the crowds avoid week-ends and come during the week. Visiting just after sunrise will not only provide some of the best light to photograph the daffodils, it will also allow you to avoid the crowds that usually come here during the day and for sunset.
