Itinerary description
The nature reserve of Vendicari is splendid, especially early april when I visited it. The parking is free (it was when I used it) but unguarded. The entrance to the reserve costs 3,5 euro. An astonishing variety of flora and fauna (flamingo, eagret, cormoran, etc) awaits you. On the beach you find strange balls which are the remnants of aquatic plants (poseidonia) rolled by the waves into balls. I dienst reach the tower and the archeologic site on the right hand of the walk due to high water stand, so continuing wasn´t possible.
