Entrance 1 (Velika Paklenica) - Paklenica Mountain Hut - Entrance 1 (Velika Paklenica)

Comencem l’excursió de 15,6 km a l’entrada del parc 1, just al punt on hi ha l’aparcament i la guixeta on es compra l'entrada no gaire cara (ben a prop de Starigrad). Tot el camí va pel costat del riu d'aigua cristalina. A més, no té pèrdua i està molt senyalitzat. Al principi, passem una zona d’escalada molt bèstia i, durant tot el camí, trobem cartells ben útils que expliquen la fauna i flora ben diversa que te el parc. Nosaltres arribem “només” fins al refugi principal del parc (Paklenica Mountain Hut), un edifici típic on els excursionistes poden prendre alguna cosa fresca (portada fins aquí per burros!). Després, tornem pel mateix camí per on hem vingut.

The starting point of our 15,6 km route is the park entrance 1, near the parking lot and the reception where you have to buy a (not expensive) ticket (this is not far from Starigrad). Our way will be near a crystalline river all the time. In addition, the pleasant path you must follow is easily spotted. Firstly, there is a huge climbing area and, all along the way, there are many useful posters showing the diverse flora and fauna of the park. Our destination is “only" the Paklenica Mountain Hut, a typical building where hikers can have a cold drink (carried there by donkeys). Then, we went back by following the same path.
