Very steep climb up from Vélez approx 780 metres above sea level. All good track. Take plenty of water. Good little bar very local on industrial estate where the start and end is.
Views of Maroma, Lake Vinuela, Canillas, Sedella, Arenas and back to Velez and the Sea.

!!WARNING!!
Nice walk, but (very) unpleasant - and in fact dangerous - due to many aggressive dogs, not only behind fences, but also on the road. We would never advise anyone to do this walk, unless farmers change their behaviour and keep their dogs on a leash!!!
Sad to hear this. I am scared of dogs and it seems that I'm Velez Malaga dogs are on the increase in the campo and are very rarely controlled or looked after by their owners. I never walk in the campo here on my own now. I will add warnings on the Velez walks. Such a shame really to not feel safe I'm the countryside. Thanks for the review.
