Itinerary description
Maja e Kolajve is the highest peak of the Kolajve massif and is located on north-west of Jezera Peak. In some digital maps this summit is without name. In Google maps is named as Maja e Malësores. In old hardcopy maps and according to people of Theth summit is Kolaj. We started the hike at Okol-Theth 850m and continued up to reach Qafa e Pejes. We deviated on the south 1.3km after Qafa e Pejes. Till at this point the trail is easy to follow. After this point we deviated on the south ascending up. At the altitude 1900, distance 7.4km from the trailpoint there are stones falling from the mountain on the west side so one should be very careful here. At roughly 8km from the trailpoint, altitude 2028m, there was snow and put on Crampon. Then we continue the route between the massif on the right west side. The snow on this location is helpful as such terrain is with gravel. The only part that we could fine to ascend the last part of the summit is on the west side. The view from the summit is really beautiful on all alps. After descending the peak we continue the ascend of the west massif with its highest peak 2418m. After that we were checking a route down on the south part so as to pass through Gropat e Bukura but could not find a safe one as the south part is an abyss.
