Itinerary description
Vahin ( Վահին ) is a mountain hidden in remote village Nareshtar ( Նարեշտար ), Martakert ( Մարտակերտ ) province of Artsakh, Armenia.
The height of the mountain is 2389 m.
Some information about the trail:
--- The big piece of this trail is a driving part, so you hike only that "circle part" of the trail (about 8 km).
--- We drove from Vank village ( Վանք գյուղ ) to Nareshtar by 4x4 vehicle.
--- The village of Nareshtar is abandoned and you could only see some local farmers living there only in season (May-September).
--- ATTENTION: The mountain is situated close to the border, so before going there make some inquiries to be on the safe side.
--- The best season for hiking Vahin is May and June, it's green and not very hot. Though it's possible to hike the mountain from July till November (till the first snow covers the area).
--- From Vahin summit you have spectacular view pf Sarsang reservoir ( Սարսանգի ջրամբար ) and Karvachhar's mountains.
