Itinerary description
Trail runs through the picturesque mountain valley in the Valongo area. It can be reached by urban train "Porto - Penafiel" and starts from São Martinho do Campo Train Station. Mostly the trail is nice and easy though in some points one should be careful and cautious.
Note that in winter season the water level in Ferreira river is higher than in summer time and due to that the stone passage shown on on the photo might be covered with strong stream. In this case I advise to turn back till you reach the bridge, where you will be able to cross the river and continue the trip on the other bank.
