Itinerary description

On this stage I have made an alternative route. The day would have been near Vallo but parallel to a road. I preferred to deviate to go and see Aydon Castle which is small but very well preserved. From the square in front of the castle there is a path that leads to a wood that seems enchanted leads to the pastures and then to Corbridge where there is an important archaeological site. From here I am then through really beautiful secondary roads I have returned to the original route. The only negative note is the last 4 kilometers before wall that have been made on a busy highway. Consider that in England the roads often have hedges on the sides and therefore there is little room to dodge in case there is a car or a heavy vehicle arriving. On the other hand, drivers are very careful about pedestrians.
