Itinerary description
The path is quite stony and steep in places and you will need strong, waterproof shoes whenever you do this walk.
The walk starts by the church in Villefayre, where there are a few parking spaces. From the church take the road that goes down to a cross. Turn left here and follow the path steeply down hill until you reach the valley at the bottom.
When you reach the ruins of the Moulin de Prat Ferrand, turn left and follow the stream on the left bank. Follow the path when it crosses the stream. (No bridge or crossing point)
At the old quarry on the right, cross the stream again (shallow ford) and follow the track.
At the intersection, follow the path to the left following it around two sharp bends until you meet another path where you turn left. Follow this well marked path.
When it follows the valley, turn left on a path that crosses the valley and follow this well marked track along the side of the hill.
Where the path forks at the edge of a field, keep left and at the next junction keep right which goes uphill. Follow this path until you reach the old lavoir and grotto.
Continue on the path until you reach the path that will bring you back to the village and starting point.
