Itinerary description

Even though the hike itself can be done in one day, you will spend another whole day reaching from Shkodër to Valbona via a van – ferry – van combo and another day to go back from Theth to Shkodër by bus. You can buy the tickets at your guest house in Shkodër (in our case The Wanderers Hostel).

- Shkodër - Komani van (8€)
- Komani - Fierze ferry (10€)
- Fierze - Valbona van (8€)

We started the hike from our guest house in Valbona (Lazer Cardaku), which was around 1h walking from the starting point of the Valbona - Theth hike.

If you want to skip this initial part, you can arrange a van with your guest house to the starting point. They will take you for around 5-10€.

The route is well-marked and it doesn't have any technical difficulty.

Along the hike there are several cafes where you can take a traditional coffee, some soda or buy some snacks.

We ended the hike at Gjelaj guest house, where we stayed one night before heading back to Shkodër.
