Itinerary description
Walk on paths, tracks and minor roads from Salvan railway station to Martigny railway station. Salvan is accessible from Martigny via regular services on the Mont Blanc Express.
From Salvan, walk through the town to the Marconi Trail that documents the little-known experiments performed in Salvan, then cross the railway to walk down to Trient Gorge. Another view of the gorge can be obtained by partially climbing the hill near it. Walk back via the Via Francigena to Martigny. crossing via a beautifully maintained old Pont de la Batiaz bridge.
