Val Savaranche - Pont, Rif. Vittorio Emanuele II, Rif. Chabod, Praviou

Partenza dal parcheggio privato gratuito di Pont lungo il sentiero 1 (sentiero reale - uno dei 300 km di sentieri di caccia fatti realizzare da Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia) - il tracciato in piano lungo il torrente Savara inizia ad inerpicarsi sul versante della montagna a partire dal Rif. du Tètras Lyre (1991 mslm), seguendo ripidi tornanti, fino a giungere al Rif. Vittorio Emanuele II (2719 mslm). Dal rifugio si prosegue verso nord per il sentiero 1A attraverso pietraie, rocce e roccette seguendo un sali e scendi che si sviluppa lungo il “Balcone dei ghiacciai” fino al Rif. Chabod (2710 mslm) - la traversata invece delle previste 1:45/2:00 ore ne ha richieste 3:30h - da qui si scende a Praviou seguendo i tornanti del sentiero reale 5 (in alcuni casi accorciato seguendo delle forcelle ripide ma ben segnate), l’anello si chiude con 2,5km di strada asfaltata fino al parcheggio di Pont

Departure from the free private parking Pont along the path 1 (king’s trail - one of the 300 km of hunting trails realized by Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy ) - the path is in the plane along the Savara creek and starts to climb up the mountainside from Shelter du Tetras Lyre (1991 msl), following steep hairpin bends, until reaching the Shelter Vittorio Emanuele II (2719 m). From the shelter, continue to north for 1A path through stones and rocks following an up and down pathway that develops along the "Balcony of the glaciers" to the Shelter Chabod (2710 masl) - the crossing instead of the planned 1: 45 / 2:00 hours has required 3: 30h - from here down to Praviou following the curves of the king’s trail 5 (in some cases shortened by following the steep forks but well marked), the ring closes with 2,5km of asphalt road until Pont parking
