Val Savaranche - Plan di Nivolet / Plan de Borgnoz

Partenza dal parcheggio privato gratuito di Pont lungo il sentiero 3/3A (sentiero reale - uno dei 300 km di sentieri di caccia fatti realizzare da Vittorio Emanuele II di Savoia - situato subito dietro all’Albergo Gran Paradiso e che si snoda in ripidi tornanti tra il bosco di larici e la cascata che la Dora del Nivolet forma prima di immettersi sul torrente Savara) fino alla croce di Roley, da qui si piega a destra e si sale ripidamente verso il Pian de Borgnoz seguendo il sentiero 3A (avvistato un Gipeto, un rospo e delle marmotte), si prosegue poi lungo la costa Lombarda (sulla sinistra orografica della valle) percorrendo il sentiero 9 fino a ricongiungersi alla carrareccia per poi raggiungere i laghi del Nivolet, ed il Rif. Savoia (2533 mslm) poco sopra, seguendo il sentiero 3B/3C, si raggiunge il Rif. Chiasso (2600 mslm) - si rientra per il sentiero 9 fino alla “sbarra” della carrareccia dove si devia per il sentiero 3 che segue, lungo il plan du Nivolet, il letto della Dora del Nivolet (viste diverse marmotte), fino alla croce di Roley e da qui rientro a Pont seguendo il sentiero 3/3A.

Departure from the private parking of Pont along the path 3/3A (king’s trail - one of the 300 km of hunting trails realized by Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy - located just behind the Hotel Gran Paradiso and that winds in steep switchbacks between the larch forest and waterfall that Dora Nivolet form before entering in the Savara river) until the Roley cross, from here turn right and climbs steeply towards the Pian de Borgnoz following the path 3A (spotted a Bearded Vulture, a toad and marmots), then continue along the Lombarda coast, along the path 9 to reconnected to the carriage road (interdict to the motor veichles)of the valley, and reached the Nivolet lakes, and the Savoy Shelter (2533 msl) above, following the path 3B/3C, we reach the Chiasso Shelter (2600 msl) - we return to the path 9 to the "barrrier” of the carriage road, then turn to the path 3 below, along the plan du Nivolet, the bed of the Dora Nivolet (different views of marmots), until the Roley cross and from there back to Pont parking following the path 3/3A.
