Itinerary description
Start at the Dripping Springs Visitor Area.
We first walked up Dripping Springs Trail to the ruins of Van Batten Mountain Camp and Boyd’s Sanatorium and than half way back down and turned right into Crawford Trail. This then becomes Fillmore trail and then La Cueva Trail. You wall past a cave (la cueva) where once a hermit lived. La Cueva Trail leads you back to the visitor center. There is a USD 5 fee.
Overall a lovely and interesting walk.
