Itinerary description
Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is a beautiful state park but also very busy. The ranger recommended booking tickets online to ensure you get in.
Although there were queues entering the park and the parking lots were full the crowds seemed to be focussed on the summit trail which we didn’t do.
We planned to do the 4.2 mile Loop Trail clockwise which circles the Rock and a small detour to Moss Lake. Parts of the Loop Trail were however cut off so we took Base trail to Turkey Pass trail and then Frontsize trail to get back to the parking lot.
Loop trail is a very accessible trail, whereas Turkey Pass trail is a bit more interesting to walk. There are plenty of picnic spots around the parking lots.
