Itinerary description
This trail is great at all times of the year but is especially nice in the fall and spring when the water flow is higher. Due to a cooler start to summer, when this hike was recorded there was still good water flow. You will mostly be walking under the cover of a mixed fir and maple forest. Great on a hot summer day!
It can be walked in either direction but walking up the east side provides better views of the creek as it runs through the lush fern and moss covered valley.
The route across the creek near the bottom (at waypoint photo #6) joins the east side trail to the west side but it may not be crossable during the rainy season.
You will mostly be walking under the cover of a mixed fir and maple forest. Great on a hot summer day!
Retreads Hiking Club gives this hike an AVA rating of 3B.
