Itinerary description

This short, challenging hike leads to a set of stunning waterfalls on Bannon Creek. The first half of the route follows a logging road - it is possible to drive this section but it is extremely rough! The trail from that point is through young replanted forest.

It is a short climb from there to the first set of falls, a lovely horsetail set cascading down over the rocks. Climbing further there is a second set flowing down through a series of pools. At the top, the creek drops through a narrow chasm.

On the way back down the logging road you get glimpses of the ocean.

The Retreads Hiking Club gives this hike an American Volksports Association rating of 4D.
