Itinerary description
Undercliffe Falls is a 150m soectacular high waterfall located on the Bookookoorara Creek in northeast New South Wales best accessed from the town of Liston. The track from Liston does have some qute long stretches of gravel road. Signage to the site is quite good, although there is no signage at the site.
The track precedes from the left side of the final loop where cars can park. The track heads out towards a spur that juts out into the creek. Initially you follow the spur down towards the south east. The track is interspersed with sharp drops down grassy slopes with some grass trees and rocky pertrusions.
At a point the track will start to turn towards the fall's itself. The track precedes almost straight down the slope towards a couple of small drops before ending up at the base. The base consists of mainly large boulders encompassing a small pond. Be careful in the final Descent as there are drops where slips could occur.
If you proceed around to the other side of the falls, you will see where it the falls further drops down into the creek.
Like many of the tracks in this area leeches abound in the summer months as our ticks. In the winter months this track tends to be clear of these.
The waterfall is best viewed after rain and can have up to 5 or 6 different falling points at it's best.
