Itinerary description
Surprisingly nice walk; I was lucky with the weather: it was neither super hot nor rainy.
There is another cave monastery in the middle of the trail, but I did not check it and don't know whether monks welcome visitors.
At the time of the research, the upper parts of the Davit Gareja complex (those with frescoes) were closed due to border tensions between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
