Itinerary description
Two Rod Road was once a two rod (33 foot) dirt road lined with rock walls going between the towns of Carlisle and Concord, Massachusetts. Trees have moved in and now it is a trail.
This track starts at a small parking lot at the Malcolm Preserve in Carlisle and ends at side of the road parking on Concord's Monument Street at the Punkatasset Conservation Land. It runs along the east side of Estabrook Woods, often wandered by Henry David Thoreau (the more interesting walks are to the west). Going north to south this is an easy to follow trail. There are a couple of forks that could be confusing going the other way.
