დღე 1 (მანძილი: 15 კმ. / 7 სთ. 20 წთ.)
მარშრუტი სოფ. ტვიშის განაპირას იწყება და ხვამლის მთისკენ მიემართება მარტივი სირთულის ბილიკით. 2 კმ-ში მკვეთრად უხვევს მარცხნივ, შემდეგ სოფ. ლახეფაში შედის, საშუალო სირთულის კატეგორიაში გადადის და 5 კმ-ის შემდეგ გზაგასაყართან მიდის. გზაგასაყარიდან ჩვენი ბილიკი მარცხნივ უხვევს და ხვამლის მთაზე იწყებს ასვლას (მარჯვენა გზა სოფ. ოყურეშისკენ მიდის). გზად ასევე მოინახულებთ თეკენთერის ჭას და ხვამლის წმ. გიორგის ეკლესიას. ეკლესიის შემდეგ ბილიკი ხვამლის მთის წვერზე (2002 მ.) ადის და სრულდება. ეკლესიამდე 500 მ-ით ადრე კარგი საბანაკე ადგილები გვხვდება, სადაც საბანაკე ადგილის ნიშანსაც ნახავთ. საბანაკეს სიახლოვეს არის მცირე წყარო და არქეოლოგიური ძეგლები.

დღე 2 (მანძილი: 12.3 კმ. / 4 სთ. 35 წთ.)
ხვამლის მთიდან მარშრუტი უკან, გზაგასაყართან ბრუნდება, მარცხნივ უხვევს და 600 მ-ის გავლის შემდეგ - ჯვარის მთის საბანაკე ადგილამდე მიდის (რომელიც სოფ. ტვიში - სოფ. ოყურეშის მარშრუტისთვის არის გათვლილი). საბანაკედან ბილიკი მარტივი სირთულის კატეგორიას უბრუნდება, ხეობას მიუყვება და 6.2 კმ-ში - სოფ. ოყურეშში სრულდება. ოყურეშიდან შეგიძიათ გზა განაგრძოთ და 4.1 კმ-ის შემდეგ მთავარ საავტომობილო გზაზე აღმოჩნდებით.

შენიშვნა:
• გზაგასაყარიდან ხვამლისკენ გადახვევის შემდეგ, მხოლოდ საბანაკესთან გვხვდება პატარა წყარო, თუმცა სასურველია წყლის წინასწარ მომარაგება, მაგ. ჯვარის მთის საბანაკესთან არსებულ წყაროზე;
• არ შეეცადოთ თეკენთერის ჭაში ჩაძრომას, რადგან დიდია შიგნით ჩავარდნის საფრთხე!

მარშრუტებზე სანახავი ობიექტები:
ხვამლის მთა
ფუძიდან 300 მ-ით ამოზიდული, მისტიციზმითა და ლეგენდებით ცნობილი ხვამლის მთა მნახველზე წარუშლელ შთაბეჭდილებას ტოვებს. ის ქართულ წყაროებში მეფეთა განძთსაცავადაც მოიხსენიება და მისი შესწავლის მიზნით, 1945 წელს ჩატარებულმა ექსპედიციამ მართლაც მიაგნო ფრიალო კლდეზე აგებულ საიდუმლო ოთახებს, მაგრამ შიგნით განძი ვერ აღმოაჩინეს, სამაგიეროდ აღმოაჩინეს უნიკალური პიქტოგრამები, რომლებიც პლანეტათა სიმბოლოები აღმოჩნდა და მათი განლაგება ზუსტად იმეორებს ჩწ.აღ.მდე 5604 წელს, პლანეტების განლაგებას ცაზე. გასაოცარია, რომ ასეთი კომბინაცია აღარასოდეს მეორდება და ზუსტად ემთხვევა ქართველთა (ასევე შუმერთა) წელთაღრიცხვის დასაბამს. არქეოლოგებმა ხვამლზე მიაგნეს უნიკალურ ნამოსახლარებსაც. ერთ-ერთ ესეთ ნამოსახლარზე ახლა XX ს-ის დასაწყისში აგებული, წმ. გიორგის ეკლესია დგას, რომლის ირგვლივაც დღემდე შემორჩენილია ლოდებისგან აგებული კედლების ნაშთები და კარიბჭე. ხვამლის მთას მრავალი ლეგენდაც უკავშირდება. ანტიკური ბერძნული წყაროებიდან ის მიიჩნევა არგონავტებისა და ჰერაკლეს მოგზაურობის ადგილად. მთად რომელზეც მიაჯაჭვეს გმირი პრომეთე.

თეკენთერის ჭა
თეკენთერის ჭა უნიკალური მღვიმეა, რომლის ჩასასვლელზეც ასწლოვანი წიფელია გაზრდილი. ჭა16 მ-ის სიღრმისაა და მასში დაშვება მხოლოდ ფუღუროდან არის შესაძლებელი. ჭაში დაგუბებული წყლის დონე 3-4 მეტრია.

Day 1 (Distance: 15 km / 7 h 20 min)
The route starts at the outskirts of the village Tvishi and heads to Mount Khvamli along the path of easy difficulty. After 2 km the path sharply turns left then enters village Lakhefa, from here the trail becomes moderately difficult and after passing 5 km reaches the junction. From this point, our path turns left and starts to climb up on the Mount Khvamli (right trail heads to the village Okureshi). Along the way, you will visit Tekenteri Well and St. George church of Khvamli. After the church the trail reaches the top of Mount Khvamli (2002 m). The best place for camping can be found about 500 m before the church, where you can find camping sign as well. There is spring and several archaeological sights not far from the campsite as well.

Day 2 (Distance: 12.3 km / 4 h 35 min)
From Mount Khvamli, the path returns to the junction, turns left and after passing 600 m, reaches Mount Jvari Campsite (which is designed for an overnight for the route of Village Tvishi – Village Okureshi). From the campsite, the path again turns into easy level, goes along the valley and after 6.2 km ends at the village Okureshi. From Okureshi you can keep going and after 4.1 km, you will reach a main automobile road.

Note:
• After turning to the direction of Mount Khvamli from the junction you can hardly find drinking water so don’t forget to get some from the spring near the Mount Jvari Campsite;
• Do not try to get into the Tekenteri Well, because there is a risk of falling in it.

SIGHTS OF THE TRAIL:
Mount Khvamli
Elevated at 300 m from its base Mount Khvamli is known for mystical aura and legends. It leaves an unforgettable impression on visitors. According to the historical sources the mount served as a treasure depository of Georgian kings. As a result of expedition conducted in 1945 some secret chambers were revealed, though no treasure was found. Although unique pictograms were discovered on the walls. These were proved to be the symbols of planets and their disposition exactly reflects the disposition of planets in 5604 BC. It is to be noted that this combination never repeats and exactly matches the starting point of Georgian (as well as Sumer) chronology.
On top of the mountain the remnants of one of the oldest settlements were also found. Nowadays St. George church built at the beginning of XX c. stands at one of this places, surround by the wall constructed with the ancient stones. There are many legends associated with Mount Khvamli. According to ancient Greek sources, Argonauts and Heracles visited the mountain and it was a place where Prometheus was chained.

Tekenteri Well
Tekenteri Well is a unique cave. One can get to the well through the hollow of the centenarian beech tree growing on the entrance of the well. It is 16 m deep with the water in it reaching up to 3-4 meter.
