Itinerary description
Feb 21 - 22, 2015—De Soto National Forest, Mississippi
A loop that puts together the Tuxachanie Trail and Bigfoot Loop to closely follow the original, pre-Katrina, route.
From the start to Aire Lake is very well maintained and used a lot on weekends. Between Airey Lake and the POW campground the trail is not so used but still well maintained and easy to follow. Following along from POW to along the Red Loop of the Bigfoot trail is fairly easy except that in the lowlands near the south portion the trail is very muddy and in some cases essentially becomes a river.
