Parked in a Co Council roadside gravel yard, 500yds north then on public road to a farm drive used by multiple farmers.
Next stage on this ascending gravel road through beautifully farmed land, with really good quality cattle to the point where my trail divides in a field still, where I then entered rocky areas at the base of the real climbing. Talked to a farmer advised that the summit of Turlough Hill can be accessed in multiple ways. As the light was very hazy on this day for my photographic intentions I decided not to make a full ascent, I decided to just familiarise myself for another day with the location. My approach next time will be to follow the walls, were the ascents are not as steep, and a descent route is clear. I am not ever going to try the walk all three peaks here as my knees will not oblige, so my ideas are how to break up the exploration to the best effect with the easiest slopes.
Many wild feral goats liven these slopes, they are reluctant the stay around for photos, so don't bother chasing them, they have 4 legs each and are a lot quicker getting around then people on their home slopes.
