Itinerary description
Walk along Turaida forests and forest roads and trails along the Gauja river. Start of the route in the paid parking lot. The first kilometer is more intense because it leads up the tourist trails to Turaida. Then slowly the road leads down to the river Gauja. A few hundred meters along the public road (bypassing private property). A small section of the trail leads along a forest trail, which can be muddy. Most of the route leads along small forest roads.
