Itinerary description
A hike into "Tungudalur" valley and up to "Tunguhvilftar" highlands.
The track then goes towards "Tunguhorn". Great view appears from "Tunguhorn" out Önundarfjord.
The track then goes into Ekkilsdalur, passing the two lakes and down the ridge to the abundant house "Tunga" farm.

Down the mountain shoulder
The path down is along the edge of the mountain shoulder. One must be careful of the cliffs and in doubt or fog then return and go down Tunguhvilftar the same way as was hiked up.

Great varied hiking route. We walked it in 5 hours 30 minutes plus 2 breaks. The descent is a bit steep but exciting.
