Itinerary description
Καταρρακτης Τρυπης Τιθορεα Παρνασσος
A very nice trail starting from the village of Tithorea, going throught mostly spruce forest by the side of the canyon crossing it a few times leading to a set of waterfalls the biggest of which is Trypi (82m)
WARNING there is a risk involved due to some insecure crossing as indicated by the corresponding waypoints
no special equipment is necessary but is recommended to minimise risk
During some parts of the track we went astray as path is not always clear
inside canyon GPS and mobile reception is intermittent however there is reception at the base of the waterfall (pending on provider)
Waypoints
Pipeline up
climb the pipeline up there is a set of ropes to aid some caution required the angle is steep but not vertical the estimated height is aprox. 6-7 meters
Ladder up
climb the steel ladder DO NOT climb if you have fear of heights or feel uncomfortable the angle starts off pretty steep and then goes near vertical there are a point (about 2/5 of the way) where the rock actually goes over the step and hence offers insecure footing use EXTREME CAUTION especially going down use ladder ONE climber at a time approximate height is 12-14 meters water is present both at the foot of ladder as well as top so steps will be slippery
Trypi waterfall
impressive Trypi waterfall 82m in height with a small pond underneath
