Itinerary description
A beautiful hike to the Trnovačko Jezero. You should have a car to drive all the way up in the Sutješka National Park (small entrance fee needs to be paid, there will be a guard that will take the cash). When you arrive on top of the mountain, there is a watchtower (worth going up). Leave the car in the parking and start hiking. The first 2/3 is basically going down the hill more or less into the valley, from there, there will be rather steep hike up on some stones and other surfaces. Make sure you are wearing hiking boots. It is peaceful by the lake. You can do a little camping there, there is shelter, can put fire and make food if needed. If you have extra time, climb up nearby mountain to see the lake from the top. This trail is a distance from the parking lot to the lake and back.
Make sure you are carrying passport with you as you have to cross the border to Montenegro and there might be a ranger roaming around. Enjoy!
