Itinerary description
This hike takes you to a great view point over Stara Planina to Midzor and Babin Zub, as well as into neighbouring Bulgaria.
I forgot to turn on recording when I started, so please start at the end point, as it is a loop.
We did this hike with a guide (Jovan - you can find him through Pirot tourist office). I would recommend to do this unless you are an experienced hiker, given the unpredictable weather on the mountains and the fact we were the only people for miles around. But you don't need to be super fit to do the hike - just normal fitness and willingness to do the climb.
The trail goes partly through area affected by bushfires in 2019. Other parts are overgrown with cabbage plant. At some points we didn't appear to be on a marked trail. The best bits are hiking along the old border trail and the views from the top.
We went in September, lots of blueberries, 'brusnica' and raspberries.
