In today's stage we are going to travel the spine of the Slovenian Alps, on our journey from East to West to the head of the famous Dolina Triglavskih valley, the valley of the Triglav lakes, where we will enjoy some of them before reaching our refuge on Zasavska Koca.

We take the path indicated by the guide, and going around the Triglav massif, it will take us to another valley, the path is spectacular, all rock without a bush or a point of water, it is a land that although it rains a lot, filters everything.

This section is technically demanding. There are climbing areas that can be overcome with a wired safety device. The path goes down the steep slopes below the Šmarjetne Köpf (2358 m) and the scree fields at the foot of the Rjavca (2568 m). Here is the most technically demanding section of the passage. You are rewarded with a fantastic view down the valley. La Velska Dolina opens up to Velo- and Malo-Polje.

We pass the Koca Dolicu refuge with spectacular views of the Trenta valley.

A demanding climb takes us to the hill from where we contemplate the calcareous complex of great geological interest due to the abundance of karst formations such as sinkholes, chasms and poljes.

A prolonged descent down the quarry from the Hribarice chair takes us to the bottom of the upper valley of the Triglav lakes. We pass the first lake and ascend to the Prehodavcih chair where the Zasavska Koča refuge sits.

From the terraces you can contemplate magnificent views on both sides of the refuge. Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular.
