Itinerary description
The trail starts in Madruj and continues all the way up to Jebel Shams peak, the highest point in Oman. The path is steep and dotted with rudimentary stone stairs. A massive gray concave area as if scooped out of the mountain can be a good viewpoint to reach and return to your car. there are great views of Wadi Sahtan all along the path.

Hi... I am too hiker, Could you please explain more about this trail. Can we do this trial in a day? What was the difficulty level? As per your navigated trail, is distance 5.33mi one side or total?
The trail goes all the way up to Jebel Shams. I just walked till 2200m and returned. The distance is correct both ways. It is tricky to find the way and some places are exposed. Follow carefully. Cheers
