Itinerary description
English (español abajo):
There are several free parking places where we started our tour, both at the right and left hand side of the rode and it will be quite difficult not to find a spot as there is quite a lot of space.
There are two routes:
Go up: this path is shorter but steeper and has 3 zones where you will find stairs and chains, with various sections of stairs each of them. Just be careful the people who suffer from vertigo. This path as well will cross next to L'Aguilliete d'Argentiere where you will probably find people climbing. Right after that you will find the first stairs section.
Go down: this way is a bit longer but a bit easier as well and less steep. But on top of that, there are no stairs or chains so you can use that one both ways.
In any way, both trails are similar, alpine trail, achievable, well signed and they become one after a bit more than half way. Once together you will see the lakes Chéserys before keep on going up.
The last remaining section could be the most complex one as it's the steepest one but without any major problem. At the summit, if you are lucky and it's sunny, the views are just breathtaking.
All the way to the summit is pretty much going up and at the summit there is a hut but it's also a restaurant and a bar so you can rest outside and have something to drink while enjoying the views. Also there is a big space with grass to lay a bit and because you are in a lake you can try to swim on it (although it's quite cold).
We went mid June and there was some snow remaining; however, we've seen how people has done the same trail in winter when the lake is frozen. You can use this as a reference for 2500m https://www.mountain-forecast.com/peaks/Aiguille-du-Belvedere/forecasts/2965.
Total time going up: 2:30 hrs
Total time going down: 2:15 hrs
Castellano:
