Itinerary description
Another crazy hike for me! But wow, I was very impressed with the mountains here. It's on top of my list along with Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. It has so much to offer and it's gorgeous!
It's a really long one, so take caution or break it up. There are some water sources (including the glacial lakes - other sources, questionable due to goats, cattle, etc.). Take plenty of food and walking poles!
The trails are good maybe except for when I tried to find one at km 30. It is blue color-coded per my app (mapy.cz) and I couldn't find it after getting to the pass. So I just went down the best I could and at around km 31, I could see traces and followed them. It's really old so you can barely see it. It takes a toll on your knees so maybe find a different route. After following the stream for a while, it became more obvious. But basically, it led me to the dirt road that would take me back to where I was staying. So that might be different for you depending where you want to end the hike.
All the peaks offer a different view and that was the best part for me! I truly recommend this route (maybe over two days) as I was thoroughly entertained the entire way! Also, watch out for shepherd dogs! 😉
