Itinerary description
With Hardcore Extreme Adventures group
Finally. After years of waiting for the trail via Kuala Tahan to reopened, thus making the possibility of a thru-hike/trans trip possible, and of course, my availability, now I get to experienced it. My oh my. This is one tough son-of-a-bitch, but damn I'm loving every moment of it!
Note* There is a lot of small streams and rivers flowing through this trail. Don't bother trying to maintain dryness on the first day here. You'll end up spending more energy, trying to avoid, getting wet.
*Campsite Note: Based on the previous map, which I relied heavily on, due to (well, then. That's before I embarked on this myself🤣) how detailed the informations is, this campsite has no leeches. Well, NOPE! It is a bloody leech haven! But maybe, the person got lucky, and it's dry weather. For my group though, it was wet, and it rained the whole night. So, if you're a tent-person, all the best🤣. In my case, I'm a hammock-camper, but still not safe, coz once your feet touches the ground, guaranteed hit🤣🤣🤣.
Here's our itinerary for Day 1;
02:30 Lotus's/Tesco Taman Midah, Cheras
07:30 Breakfast @ Kuala Tahan
08:00 Taman Negara Kuala Tahan. Registration and personal items declaration
10:12 start hike
14:17 Kem Melantai. Lunch & set-up camp
19:00 Dinner
