Itinerary description
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
There's no bloody way you can stay dry on this particular trip, all 3 days of it. So, be prepared!
Goddamned 21 Sets of Ladders! 😅🤣😭
Why not Trans KorGa, you may ask? Why just Trans Korbu? Well, honestly, I'm not sure why. All I know, is that throughout Day 1 & 2, I was massively struggling. Maybe lack of sleep, or improper dietary planning? Who knows? Anyway, decided to just descend down, via Sg Termin/SAS Dam route, leading to Kijang Camp, upon reaching Mount Korbu. Made up my mind, that since I've did Trans KorGa in 2018, all I really need now is to experience the legendary Seno'oi trail, which I did. Darn TOUGH! With heavy loads, all the way to Day 2, zero chance of daypack, since we're staying at 2 different campsites, it sure does test your mettle and strength, as an endurance hiker.
Here's my PERSONAL itinerary for Day 2;
04:24 Hiking, with Loads, COMMENCE🤣
05:46 Towards Lojing, Kelantan Junction
08:14 Bongsai Tonggek Peak (15.8Km)
09:57 Korbu Junction
12:10 Wildlife Sensor
12:27 Reached Mount Korbu's Peak (18Km)
*Slept, ate lunch, loiter around, lounging. Basically finding excuses to finally buck up and move on down🤣🤣🤣*
14:13 Left Mount Korbu's Peak
17:01 Last Water Source (29.3Km) *for Sg Termin/SAS Dam side*
17:45 Wildlife Sensor
18:01 Kijang Camp (31Km)
*Missed both Chuban's and Botak's Peaks, coz it started raining, heavily. And when it starts raining, you better hustle! Risk of death from hypothermia here is very real!*
Waypoints
Rain Water Catchment Tanks
Needs to cooked first, or filtered. Not safe to be consumed directly.
Mt Korbu 2183m
Reached by 12:27, left by 14:13 Slept, ate lunch, loiter around, lounging. Basically finding excuses to finally buck up and move on down🤣🤣🤣
Last Water Source
Reached by 17:01 Last Water Source, only if you're from Sg Termin/SAS Dam side🤣🤣🤣
Camp Kijang
Reached by 18:01 Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: PROBABLY... Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! There's a reason why most hikers would avoid using Kijang Camp as a camping ground, and chose to hike down further, to Seroja Camp. The potential of water rising and flooding is very high, here. And it's not just regular flooding, but the type that can wash away everything in its path. Very limited place, very little flat spaces. Probably 3 or 4 tents can be erected here, comfortably. So, if you have a choice, push for Seroja Camp, just to be safe.
