Itinerary description
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
There's no bloody way you can stay dry on this particular trip, all 3 days of it. So, be prepared!
Why not Trans KorGa, you may ask? Why just Trans Korbu? Well, honestly, I'm not sure why. All I know, is that throughout Day 1 & 2, I was massively struggling. Maybe lack of sleep, or improper dietary planning? Who knows? Anyway, decided to just descend down, via Sg Termin/SAS Dam route, leading to Kijang Camp, upon reaching Mount Korbu. Made up my mind, that since I've did Trans KorGa in 2018, all I really need now is to experience the legendary Seno'oi trail, which I did. Darn TOUGH! With heavy loads, all the way to Day 2, zero chance of daypack, since we're staying at 2 different campsites, it sure does test your mettle and strength, as an endurance hiker.
Here's my PERSONAL itinerary for Day 1;
07:30 Meet-up @ Ranger's Office
08:00 Registration & lnventory check
09:00 4X4 transfer
09:30 Reached Seno'oi Trailhead
10:09 Hiking Commences
11:06 Sg Gajah Camp
12:51 Malas Camp
14:29 Balak/Pangkin Camp 8.7Km
16:04 Sg Seno'oi Camp
16:27 View Camp (11.6Km) 881m
18:11 Last Water Source
18:22 Permatang Camp (13.2Km) 1131m
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
Although most organizers, guides and even my group, advises most that participates, to replenish their water needs, at the Last Water Source, before going up Permatang Camp, which is the choice campsite for Day 1, personally, you don't have to. What I did was to just go up straight to Permatang Camp, set my shit up, and only then, I went down and replenish my bladder, bottles and water bag. It's a very short climb down towards the Water Source, from Permatang, and a very short, slightly steep climb, back to campsite. Don't believe me? The link below is my experiment, in time and distance spent, going up and down.

Waypoints
Sg Gajah Camp
Reached by 11:06. Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: YES! Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! Place is overgrown with bushes, quite small, but pretty flat. Estimate that at least 5 tents can be erected here, provided that the bushes be whacked.
River
Here, you can stay dry, by skipping on stones. But, be careful. The stones can be slippery. But, honestly, just get wet. You'll be wasting time and energy, every time you stop and remove your shoes, cross the damn river, then put it all on, all over again. Waste of time.
Malas Camp
Reached by 12:51 Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: PROBABLY... Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! Place is quite small, but pretty flat. Estimated that at least 6 to 7 tents can be erected here.
Water Source
Damn slow trickle, though. Walk a bit, there's a better one, in front.
Water Source
Yup. Here's a better, slightly speedier trickles. Still, slow, though. But at least, better than the first one🤣🤣🤣
Balak/Pangkin Camp
Reached by 14:29 No Signboard! Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: PROBABLY... Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! Place is pretty spacious. Quite flat, as well. Estimated that at least 8 to 10 tents can be erected here.
Small Falls
Water Source as well. There's a bamboo pipe erected here, so water can trickle nicely into your bottle
Stream
Water Source as well. There's a bamboo pipe erected here, so water can trickle nicely into your bottle
Sg Seno'oi Camp
Reached by 16:04 Campsite Note: Water Source : NO! Leeches: PROBABLY... Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! Wouldn't suggest for anyone to stay here. With the exception of 1 small pond, with blackish, standing water, there is no Water Source here. Also, thanks to the pond, there's loads of Sandflies, Wasps and Bees here. Other than that, pretty spacious and flat.
Stream
Played around a bit here. You can either take a calculated risk, and cross using a very old fallen log, or just go down the stream, and climb back up again. The log, is very old, not quite sturdy, and, it's rotting. So, calculated risk. On the right side of the log, is a pretty steep fall, if you happen to fall down it🤣
View Camp
Reached by 16:27 Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: PROBABLY... Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! Place is pretty spacious. Quite flat, as well. Estimated that at least 8 to 10 tents (or more) can be erected here. Very comfortable, should you choose to stay here, instead of Permatang Camp, which is next. Take note though, should you choose to go on ahead, the very steep climb towards Permatang Camp, starts here. Also, you'll be treated to a view of IPOH town, provided that the cloud cover moved away🤣
Last Water Source
Reached by 18:11 Here is the Last Water Source you'll ever get, at least until Mount Korbu, where the local Orang Asal community here has set up barrels for rainwater catchment. Do check the link below, to see my argument+experiment, to see whether you should fill up here first, and then go up Permatang Camp. https://www.wikiloc.com/hiking-trails/trans-korbu-0203-permatang-camp-to-lwp-131689906
Permatang Camp
Reached by 18:22 Campsite Note: Water Source : YES! Leeches: NONEXISTENT! Bugs (Wasp/Bees/Sandflies) : YES! YES! YES! The upside of staying here, very slightly lesser difficulty in attempting to reach Mount Korbu. Downside? Very, very limited space, and very little flat land. Mostly slightly slanting. If you're a Hammock-Camper, like me, lucky you🤣. If not, and if your group happens to be more than 6 pax, good luck🤣
