Itinerary description

This is a sweet little hike that only takes around 2 hours. We (33F, 42M) did this hike effortlessly and enjoyed the beautiful cedars and wildflowers that enveloped the trail.

How to get there: We took a driver from our hotel in Tannourine ($60 for 4 hours of driving), and it's a well-documented enough location that the parking lot is quite easy to find. The ranger station at the beginning of the trail has plenty of free maps, as well as local honey, jams, molasses, spices, and other local goodies for sale. The station does not have hiking snacks.

What to wear: we went in early June, and a shirt and shorts are adequate. Some occasional under brush and overgrowth on the trail may cause one to wish they wore pants, but it's no problem.

The trail itself: nicely marked all throughout. Trail 4's arrows were sometimes on the ground and hard to find, but easy enough to figure out. In fact, following a Wikiloc trail is not necessary.
