Itinerary description
Tracking camping Tirana,
This wonderful track is unmarked but the paths are quite visible. Ask the owners of camping Tirana for more details.
The first minutes of the walk leads through the dry bottom of the lake in front of camping Tirana. The level of the lake varies with the seasons.
During the walk you pass several ruins, old olive trees, nice erosion shaped ridges, beautiful views on Tirana but also on the city of Durres and the Adriatic sea behind it.
On the way down you follow a small stream with an almost "rainforesty feeling". The last part leads through a small lively village with several types of agriculture including a snail farm.
Back on the campsite you can enjoy an amazing sunset over the lake while drinking home made raki!

Scenery
Moderate
It's a mostly easy to walk trail regarding elevation tracks. It's not always easy to see the trail, so a GPS is recommended. Also, it's not the best for rainy days or after heavy rains as you walk along/through a riverbed, which can be very muddy. Also at the moment some parts of the trail a covered with stones and muds due to the heavy rains in December last year.
But the views of both Tirana and Durres are fantastic.
