Itinerary description
We started and finished in the visitor centre ( under renovation ) carpark, plenty of parking spaces and picnic tables, toilets were closed.
A relatively easy walk, mostly flat along wide tracks, very scenic skirting the lake, we diverged at the beginning by doing the Lava Tongue boardwalk .
Saw lots of wildlife, emus, koalas, lizards, birds of every description. No snakes this time.
Trails were well marked and used, easy to follow.
There was a very short walk along the exit road to the unmarked "dance ground track ", begins with a short sharp climb.
