Itinerary description
Starting from Lac de Cerces climb the col to reach Lac du Grand Ban and Lac Rond. Here you could head straight for Refuge de Terre Rouge but we decided to make a round trip to Refuge des Drayères. The descent is relatively straightforward and worth doing with views of outposts and tunnels from past wars.
The route from Lac Rond to Refuge de Terre Rouge is pretty. Due to the undulating nature of the valley the distances are much greater than it appears. Aside from the length the route is relatively straightforward.
