Itinerary description
Starting from Lac de Bataillers climb up to the Col de Bataillers. Descend to Lacs de St Marguerite. The Refuge de Thabor is just after.
Descending to Col de La Vallée Étroite, take the path along the same level towards the right in direction Lac du Peyron. From Lac du Peyron climb to Col des Méandes. Here there is the option to climb Mont Thabor or to head directly to Lac Blanc.
The climb up Mont Thabor is quite steep but mostly straightforward however there is a part of the path which may be covered by snow throughout the year. In August it was relatively easy to pass but closer to winter special equipment could be needed.
Back at the junction at Col des Méandes, head right towards Lac Blanc. The route is relatively easy and around the Lake there are several bivouac spots.
